About Us
Empowering Youth | Strengthening Rancho Murieta
At Cosumnes River Activities League (CRAL), our mission is to empower youth and strengthen the Rancho Murieta community through inclusive, fun, and enriching events. We believe in creating meaningful opportunities for young people and families to connect, grow, and build lifelong memories—because when youth feel supported, and communities come together, everyone thrives.
What We Do
CRAL creates experiences that support the healthy development of youth while bringing families and neighbors together. Our programming is designed to uplift, inspire, and educate in ways that are accessible and fun for all ages.
We’re best known for our annual Father Daughter Dance—a beloved tradition that celebrates the unique and important bond between dads and daughters. The event is more than a dance—it’s a chance to build confidence, self-worth, and strong foundations for girls as they grow into young adults. These moments of connection create memories that last a lifetime, and we are proud to provide a space for them to flourish.
Other past events include:
♦ Youth Flag Football Tournament in partnership with the Sacramento Sheriff’s League—bringing law enforcement and youth together in a positive, encouraging, and active environment that builds trust and teamwork.
♦ Big Truck Day—an exciting hands-on learning event where kids get up close to construction vehicles, garbage trucks, cement mixers, and more while learning about how these machines support the infrastructure of our community.
Every event we organize is rooted in a single goal: to build bridges between youth, families, and the broader Rancho Murieta community—while having a great time doing it.
Why It Matters
Statistics consistently show that strong relationships, mentorship, and safe community engagement lead to better outcomes for youth. Whether it's boosting self-esteem, encouraging leadership, or simply offering a safe space to belong, CRAL plays a vital role in shaping the next generation right here at home.
We know that it takes a village—and we’re here to help that village come alive with energy, unity, and purpose.
